1. Sentiment Score (-100 to +100)
The sentiment score represents the net insider buying pressure for a sector or industry.
Sentiment = (Buy Value - Sell Value) / (Buy Value + Sell Value) × 100
- +100: Only Buying
- -100: Only Selling
- 0: Equal Buying and Selling (or no activity)
2. Sector Rotation / Momentum
This metric calculates the change in sentiment over the last 12 weeks. It identifies
sectors that are rapidly gaining or losing favor with insiders.
Momentum = Current Week Sentiment - Sentiment 12 Weeks Ago
Because this is a difference between two scores, the range is from -200 to
+200.
Example: If a sector moves from a sentiment of -100 (heavy
selling) to +90 (heavy buying), the Momentum score would be
+190.
